Design these adorable snowman treat bags and candy favors for the holidays. Using die cuts, cardstock, clear plastic bags, and Christmas ribbon bowsthe Mini Bowdabra to create snowman candy bags. Materials Needed:

  • Cardstock
  • Die Cuts
  • Googly Eyes
  • Pom Pom
  • Double Sided Tape
  • Aleene’s Tacky Glue
  • Hole Puncher
  • White & Blue Tulle Ribbon
  • Floral Stems
  • Silk Flowers
  • Mini Bowdabra
  • Bowdabra Bow Wire

 

Instructions:

1. Begin by gathering all the materials you will need to make snowman treat bags and candy favors.

2. Cut a rectangle (3 ¼ inch x 2 ½ inch, cut away ½ inch) and trim the top edges to make a snowman hat.

3. Cut a long rectangle ( ¾ x 4 ¼ inch) to make the brim for the snowman hat. Use Scor-pal double-sided tape to hold the brim in place.

4. Use a hole puncher to place two holes on the hat.

5. Glue the snowman eyes onto the face.

6. Add a pom pom to the snowman’s face for a nose.

7. Cut tulle ribbon at an angle on each end.

8. The ribbon should look like this, make several, both white and blue.

9. To make the bow for the snowman hat: Cut 18″ of Bowdabra Bow Wire, fold the wire in half and place it into the Mini Bowdabra. Begin to place the cut tulle into the Mini Bowdabra.

10. Continue to stack several cut tulle ribbons.

11. Add floral stems to the Mini Bowdabra.

12. Add silk flowers to the top of the bow.

13. Scrunch ribbon down with the Mini Bowdabra Wand. While the bow is still in the Mini Bowdabra, thread the two loose ends of the BowdabraBow Wire through the loop at the other end. Pull the Bowdabra Bow Wire tightly while the bow is still in the Mini Bowdabra. Gently pull the bow out of the Mini Bowdabra. Separate the two loose ends of the Bowdabra Bow Wire and bring them around to the back of the bow. To tie off the bow, pinch the Bowdabra Bow Wire securely against the bow. Twist the bow 4 to 6 times in a clockwise direction.

14. Fluff the bow and use the remaining Bowdabra Bow Wire to tie the bow to the top of the snowman’s hat. Along with fill a clear plastic bag with candies and/or treats.

15. Use double-sided tape to hold the clear plastic bag closed, as well as, attach the snowman face.

16. Add the snowman face.

17. Your candy filled treat bag is complete.
