Everyone loves flowers! And with this project you can fill your home with flowers that will last forever. Need a hostess gift? It’s perfect for that too!
Here’s what you’ll need:
Instructions:
1. To make your everlasting paper flowers first choice your favorite cardstock.
2. Cut scrapbook paper into 3 inch x 12 inch strips.
3. Cut slits approximately ¼ inch wide along the strips of paper. This does not have to be exact! Leave about ¾ inch uncut along the bottom of the strip of paper.
4. Place scissors on the back side of the paper and gently curl the paper the way you would curl ribbon.
5. Add a line of glue along the bottom of the patterned side of the paper strip. Roll the strip onto a skewer. Pull the skewer down into the center of the flower so it does not show. Secure with tape.
6. Starting at the base of the flower, begin wrapping the bottom of the flower with paper tape. Continue down the skewer until you have it covered with the tape. The skewers can be easily broken to the correct length to fit the jar or vase you will be using.
7. Fluff the flower.
8. Follow the instructions to make additional flowers for your bouquet.
9. Finish the flowers by adding buttons to the center.
10. Using the Mini Bowdabra make a bow using coordinating ribbon. Make a fold and loop bow with button center similar to the bow in this video.
11. Add a button to the center of the bow.
12. Glue the finish Mini Bowdabra Bow to a vase.
13. Display your everlasting flowers or give as a gift.
