Herb Mother’s Day Gift with Bow

Hi, Bowdabra blog readers! It’s Melanie from It Happens in a Blink blog again. Mother’s Day is quickly approaching. My go-to Mother’s Day gift for my mom and my mother in law is always a potted plant of some sort. Both of them have pretty much everything that they want or need, but they both like flowers. Two years ago I gave them a house plant. Last year I gave them a large outdoor plant that my husband had to go over and plant for them. I thought I had exhausted my potted plant options when I spotted these fresh herb plants at the store. What a wonderful gift idea for someone who likes to cook! I’m thinking that I may pair it with a new pan or other kitchen gadget. It’s easy to dress up any potted plant with a Bowdabra bow!

Supplies:

  • Ribbon
  • Bow Wire
  • Mini Bowdabra
  • Potted plant

Place a length of bow wire across the Mini Bowdabra.

Take the length of ribbon and place it in the Mini Bowdabra.

Make loops back and forth until you’ve reached the desired amount for the bow.

Use the Bowdabra wand to scrunch the ribbon.

Bring up the bow wire and lightly tie. Pull the ribbon out of the Mini Bowdabra and finish tying off with the Bow Wire.

Attach to the plant with additional ribbon or adhesive.

Add a cute gift tag to complete the embellishment.
