Thanksgiving Table Favors - Bowdabra Tool

For this coming Thanksgiving gathering, surprise your family with mini cornucopia Thanksgiving table favors adorned with decorative ribbon and bows that will truly put a smile on their faces. Whether it’s in the form of cute décor or a sweet remembrance – your guests will love this small memento of a great time.

To make this mini cornucopia, gather the following:

To begin, cut the burlap paper into six inch squares.

While holding the paper, grasp the pointed corner facing up, and roll together the burlap into a cone shape, as the bottom is forming a point. It may take a bit of maneuvering but once you line up the edges and point into a cone, run glue along the edges where they overlap to hold the cone in place.

Once the cone is together, take about thirty inches of decorative wire ribbon, fold together and pull the end wire on each side, gathering the ribbon into ruffles. Continue pulling the wires and gathering the ribbon until you have a ruffle long enough to fit around the top inside of the cone. Adjust the wires on both ends of the ribbon ruffle, tie in knot and cut off excess.

Glue on the ruffle around the inside top of cone.

For the bow, cut a 15″ piece of Bowdabra wire, fold together and place in the Mini Bowdabra, tucking the ends under.   Fold a ten inch matching decorative wired ribbon together with ends overlapping. Gather the middle and insert into the Bowdabra.

Scrunch down the bow with the Bowdabra wand.

While the bow is still in the Bowdabra, push the two loose ends of the Bowdabra wire through the loop at the other end. Pull the bow wire tightly while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Gently pull the bow out of the Bowdabra and wrap the wire behind the bow, tying in a knot and cutting off excess.

Hot glue the Bowdabra bow onto the front of the cone below the ruffle.

Have fun making lots more and filling your mini cornucopia with chocolates, candy, nuts or decorative trinkets your guests will surely enjoy!

Happy Crafting using your Bowdabra!
