Bowdabra Summer Wreath

DIY Summer Wreath Ideas

Hi everyone, Tammy  Santana here today with an easy Bowdabra Summer Wreath tutorial. Summer means bright colors to me, so when I saw all of the bright colors of Mesh at the craft store and this cute decorative surfboard, I knew I had to make a wreath for my front door. I love how this Summer Wreath project turned out, and it was so easy to create with my large Bowdabra! Here is how I made it…

Bowdabra summer wreath

Supplies:

Large Bowdabra

Bowdabra gold wire

Mesh in colors of your choice

Decorative ribbon or mesh tubing

Wire wreath base

Decorative element

Directions:

Cut about 20-30 pieces of different colored Mesh in approximately 6-9 inch sections. Make sure they are long enough to curl into a tube form before placing them in the Bowdabra.

Cut an 18″ piece of the gold Bowdabra wire and fold it in half and place it through the long slot in the Bowdabra, and fold it under the Bowdabra to stay put until you are ready to gather and tie your mesh pieces together.

To create texture and visual interest, I like to stack several different sizes and colors of mesh pieces and mesh tubing in the Bowdabra center.  When done stacking your pieces, use the Bowdabra wire to create a slip knot and pull tight in the center to secure the mesh pieces together. Wrap the wire around to the back of the mesh pieces and tie a knot to secure.

Tie each mesh stack to the wire wreath base using the extra Bowdabra wire hanging from each mesh stack.

Once you have secured all mesh stacks to the wire wreath base, attach you decorative element. I purchased this “Tiki Time” surfboard at the Dollar Store. I hope this shows how easy it is to create fun home decor items with the large Bowdabra :)
