Well, it’s Halloween, and time to dress up. So what I decided to do is make a really cute Doggie Halloween costume for Vivee, my husky. We’re going to make her a bumblebee.

So the first thing that I did is I took a piece of felt and just cut it. And you basically just want to measure the size of your dog’s body and make it so that it fits on your dog.

I then cut the felt stripes, and basically we’re just going to glue the stripes onto the felt. With the magic of video, we’re going to move this over here and we’re going to take this one that I’ve already done. You can see how cute that is with the stripes. And I’m just going to glue; we’re gluing the ribbon on because this is how we’re going to tie it around Vivee’s body.  So I’m just going to use my paper towel to pat this down so I don’t burn myself.  We’re just going to put this aside to let it dry while I make a cute little hat.

Make the hat

What I did is, I took a piece of ribbon and just glued it on the outside of a headband. I take the pipe cleaners, and we’re just going to twist them so we have our bumblebee stripes.

Then once I’m done twisting that, I’m going to take my Bowdabra Bow Wire and lay it down into the Bowdabra and just tuck the ends underneath.  I’m going to take my tulle and to fold it in half because I didn’t have a thin tulle and I thought this will make really puffy antennas.

Now I’m just going to scrunch this down into the Bowdabra. It’s really simple, but the tulle tends to catch on everything.  This tulle actually has a little sparkle. I don’t know if it picks it up on the video, but it is really pretty.

Next, I’m just going to pull my silver wire through my slipknot, pull it tight, separate the ends and bring it around to the back, and I’m just going to knot it. I’ll clip my wire. So then I’m going to take my chenille stem, or pipe cleaners, and just wrap that around the little puff and fluff it all out.  I’ll just take this and wrap it around the headband. And now you can see how cute it looks on Vivee.
