Fig glazed pork chops

Prep Time 15 minutes

Cook Time 20 minutes

Total Time 35 minutes

Servings 1 people

Ingredients

  • 2 thick-cut, bone-in pork chops
  • 4 cloves roasted garlic, smashed
  • 1/2 Tablespoons butter
  • 2 Tablespoons California Fig Spread (I use Balsamic Pepper flavor)
  • 2 Tablespoons raw honey
  • salt and pepper, for seasoning

Instructions

Season both sides of pork chops with salt & pepper. Smear roasted garlic on both sides of pork chops. Let sit for 15 minutes.

Heat grill to medium heat. Spray grates with non-stick spray, so the pork doesn’t stick.

In skillet over medium heat, add butter. When butter melts, add pork chops. Sear pork chops for about 2 minutes per side.

Grill your fig glazed pork chops

Transfer pork chops to grill. I put the chops over direct flame. Close cover, and allow to grill for 5 minutes. Next, flip chops, and allow to grill for another 5 minutes
.

While pork chops grill, add honey and fig spread to microwave-safe bowl, and microwave for 15-20 seconds, or until fig spread mixes easily. Combine well. Don’t warm mix too far ahead, or it will get thick again.

Now, spread the glaze onto pork chops, and grill for 3 minutes. Flip chops, spread glaze on other side, and grill for another 2-3 minutes.

We hope you will visit Bowdabra blog each week for more Video tutorials, crafts, and recipes and we’d love to hear your comments!

Finally, remove pork chops from heat, and allow to rest for about 5 minutes. Enjoy!
