How To Create Gorgeous Bows and Ribbon Flowers with Bowdabra

Wondering how to create astonishingly beautiful ribbon flowers and bows with only ribbons and paper without any sew or hot glue?

Watch Sandy Sandler, creator of the Bowdabra, create amazingly simple yet eye-catching ribbon flowers, bows, and more with the Bowdabra in the simplest steps you can think of.

Simple Silver Bow with Long Tails

Sandy first puts in a long piece of silver ribbon (2 and a half inch wide), dove-tailed from both ends into the Large Bowdabra. She then picks up a longer piece of ribbon, about a couple of yards, and puts it in with slight twists at the center and large loops finishing it with a last small floral loop.

Everything is then tied up neatly with the Bowdabra Bow Wire to make a really simple but elegant bow. All you need to do is shape the bow by separating the loops and straightening the bow ends.

The Ribbon Flower

Now its time for some flowers. Sandy settles for a 5-inch wide wired sheer ribbon, folding it into half, down its length. After putting in the Bowdabra Bow Wire and the floral pick in the Mini Bowdabra, she lays the ribbon down in short folds.

About 3/4th of the ribbon is on one side and the remaining on the other side of the Bowdabra. When the Bow Wire is pulled out, it ties up the pick and the ribbon together into a pretty flower.

The Blue-White Lotus

For the next flower, Sandy takes a 12 x 12 piece of mulberry scrapbook paper, cut into petals with a long strip on top holding the petals. She first folds down a piece of wired ribbon into the Mini Bowdabra.

Next she neatly folds in the scrapbook paper, tucking it in petal by petal. When all of it is tied up with the Bowdabra Bow Wire, Sandy straightens up the petals to make a beautiful flower, as elegant as the white lotus.

The Glitter Braganza Flower

The next flower is really simple but looks amazingly gorgeous. Sandy uses just a piece of glitter Braganza, folded into two along its length and scrunches it into the Mini Bowdabra, topping it up with a pretty wired bead.

Doubled Colored Ribbon Flower

The next flower emerges out of a blue netted ribbon, folded into the Mini Bowdabra with a pick. And to give it that extra dash of color, Sandy adds a smaller piece of pink netted ribbon on it.

In that beautiful dual-colored flower, Sandy adds a glue dot at the center to place a blue bead and you have a lovely, stylish pink and blue flower, made in no time!

And the Quickest Scrunchy Flower!

Two pieces of silver and red scrunchy ribbons scrunched into the Mini Bowdabra and tied up with the Bow Wire takes just minutes to get shaped into the most striking flower! Now that’s the magic of the Bowdabra. Not sure how to do it? Watch Sandy make it effortlessly from 20:50 minutes in the video.
