Materials:
Now, we’re going to make this really fun and elegant rhinestone bookmark. So, the first thing that I’m going to do is I’m actually going to take this really nice satin ribbon. I’ve already glued one rhinestone on there. So, I’m just going to take my glue gun and I’m just going to put a little bit more glue here, and I’m going to glue this rhinestone. So, now you have the rhinestone glued to the other side of your ribbon. I’m just going to set this aside, and I’m going to take the ones that I have that are already dry.
So, the first thing that I’m going to do is to fold my Bowdabra Bow Wire in half. Then, I lay it into the Mini Bowdabra. Then, I tuck the ends underneath just so that they stay out of my way.
Now I’m going to take this ribbon and I’m just going to kind of make a little bit of a fold on the bottom so that I’m going to end up having kind of a loopy bow. Next, I’m going to just kind of loop that and fold it down in and scrunch that down into my Mini Bowdabra. And you can see how it kind of loops on both sides.
Then what I’m going to do is take my rhinestones, and it doesn’t really matter if they’re exact, you just want them to hang.
So, I’m going to take my next rhinestones, and then this is actually cut from the ribbon that we’re using to cover the bookmark. (Lay in 3 strips)
And then, I’m going to take this cute little Romeo and Juliet charm and I’m just going to lie that down into my Mini Bowdabra. I’ll take my Bowdabra wand and scrunch it down in there.
Now, I’m just going to take my Bowdabra Bow Wire, Then, I’m going to just bring this through here. I’m going to hold this really tight, pull it as tight as I can while it’s still in the Mini Bowdabra. I pull it out, separate the ends, bring it around to the back, and then just tie a knot. (Tie, double knot, and set aside)
To make the bookmark, what I’ve done is I have a piece of cardboard that I cut the size I want my bookmark. So, I’m going to just fold this over and bring my piece of ribbon here. And I’m going to just take a piece of double-sided tape, and I realize that the ribbon’s going to come right to there, so I’m going to just stick my double-sided tape right here. So all I have to do is just fold this back over.
Then what I’m going to do is I’m just going to cut a semicircle here. This is just to add a little texture to it. So now, I have my semicircle. Then, I’ll take my hole punch, and I’m just going to punch a hole right here.
To finish, I’m just going to take my bow and I’m going to take the wires and bring this through here and tie it off. I’m going to keep my wire, and I’m going to just add a rhinestone to the end, just like I did the other rhinestones. And then you have this really, really cute and elegant rhinestone bookmark.
