Video how to make a super cute patriotic bow set 

In this part one of two parts Bowdabra creator and designer, Sandy Sandler shows you how to make a super cute patriotic bow set for the pet and the pet parent.  Wouldn’t it be awesome to show up on the 4^thof July with your fur baby rocking the same bow?  And this is part one of two parts so come back tomorrow and check out the second video for another patriotic bow set!

Materials:

Mini Bowdabra

18” Silver Bowdabra Wire

9” x 1.5” Red Ribbon

6” x 1” Red Checkered Ribbon

2 Red Corker Ribbon Pieces

2 White Corker Ribbon Pieces

Strip of Blue Glittered Ribbon

Cute patriotic bow set

Now let’s make this super simple patriotic hair bow. So let’s start by using our Mini Bowdabra. And I’ve got a piece of Bowdabra Bow Wire cut. So I’m just going to place that into my Bowdabra. I fold the wire in half.

Next, I’m going to make take this red ribbon, and I’m just going to twist it around and lay it down into my Mini Bowdabra.  I do a little pinch in the middle for my mountain up fold and there you go.

Now, I’m going to take my red checkered ribbon, and I’m going to do exactly the same thing. Then, I have these wonderful little corkscrew ribbons. I’m going to start with white. Now, I’m going to scrunch down with my Mini Bowdabra wand. Next, I’m going to pull my Bowdabra Bow Wire through the slipknot and pull it really tight while it’s still in the Mini Bowdabra. I’m going to separate the ends of my Bowdabra Bow Wire. I pull out my bow, bring the wire around to the back, and I’m going to tie a knot.

Finishing your bow set

I’ve taken a piece of sparkly ribbon, and I’m folding it into thirds because I don’t want the cut end to show. I want it to be a clean finish. And I’m just going to grab my trusty glue gun and put a little dot here. Put this right here on the back. And I’m going to bring it around and take another dab of glue and put that right here.

To finish, I’ll just shape my bow. And now I’m just going to put it on either a headband or I could also put it on like this black headband, which you could also use to put on your puppy.
