How to Make an Elegant Upscale Designer Bow

Elegant Upscale Designer Bow

Get a jump on the holidays this time of year and make a Christmas in July upscale designer bow! It’s so easy using the Bowdabra and gorgeous Katherine’s Collection luxury designer ribbon! This gorgeous ribbon is 4 inches wide and comes in 5 yards roll of green crushed velvet adorned with jeweled stones.

Materials:
Katherine’s Collection Designer Ribbon
Bowdabra
Bow Wire
Bowdabra Wand
Fabric Glue

Instructions:
To make a spectacular upscale designer bow to adorn banisters or wreaths and the like, we will be using all 5 yards of ribbon on the roll.
Begin by folding an 18″ piece of bow wire in half and lay it into the Bowdabra. Then measure 24 inches from the roll for the bow tail, then, twist the ribbon down into the Bowdabra.

Try to find the nearest spot on the ribbon where the jewels come together to make twisting easier.

To make the first loop, make a fold at the seven-inch length and twist the ribbon, pressing down into the Bowdabra.

Next, fold and twist the other side at the same seven-inch length, creasing down into the Bowdabra.

Continue, folding and twisting loops on each side, down into the Bowdabra.

Scrunch down the loops with the Bowdabra Wand to keep loops together . . .

until all eight loops – four on each side are made, leaving a tail. While the bow is still in the Bowdabra, thread the loose ends of the bow wire through the loop and pull tightly, while gently pulling the bow out. Take the wire around to the back of the bow and tie in a double knot.

Finishing your designer bow

To finish the tail ends without cutting, fold top velvet layer and bottom gold fabric inside and run a bead of fabric glue along the edges to seal.

Fluff and straighten all the bow loops!

Tie on assorted ornaments to center for a lovely decorative look!

Perfect for upscale designs and decor!
