How to beautifully add a bow to a Christmas gift

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today and we are celebrating Christmas in July with Bowdabra. In this quick DIY tutorial Bowdabra designer Steph will show you how to beautifully add a bow to a Christmas gift.

add a bow to a Christmas gift

Supplies:
Bowdabra Bow Making Tool
Bowdabra wire
Katherine’s Ribbon
Rinea Foiled Papers
Joy Clair Stamps
Staz On Ink
Lawn Fawn Dies

First, fold the bow wire in half and place it in the Bowdabra. Tuck the ends underneath so it is out of your way while you create your bow. Next, place the ribbon in the channel, leaving a 3″ tail.

Then, make as many loops as you would like.  I created a 3 loop bow.

Now, pull up through the slip-knot on the bow wire while the bow is still in the Bowdabera.  Then turn to the back and tie a knot.  Fluff out the bow.

Finally, add the bow to a Christmas gift.

Using a metal suitcase, I decorated it with Rinea Foiled Papers.  The first layer is Gold/Gold Glossy, Foiled Paper.  The next layer is Ruby Starstruck, Foiled Paper.  Next, stamp a phrase on Gold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper with Staz On ink.  After die-cutting, mat the phrase with a larger die of Emerald/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper

With the suitcase decorated, I just need to add a bow to the Christmas gift.  It makes a beautiuful finish to the Christmas package.  Using the excess bow wire, I tie the bow to the handle.
