Back to school bow

This is what you need to  start out with except for a picture of the glue (it’s up to you as to what you use). As always, fold a piece of Bowdabra bow wire in half and insert into the Bowdabra.  Tuck the ends underneath to keep out of the way while you are making your bow.

As you can see, the Bowdabra wire is in the Bowdabra and ready to go. Use the ribbon from LaRibbons and crafts or ribbon that has school motifs printed. This is a grosgrain ribbon and very good quality as well. Make a loop and insert it into the Bowdabra and then twist it and make a matching loop on the other side.

After the two sides are formed, use the Bowdabra wand to scrunch down.

When you make the loop on the other side don’t twist to make the one on the opposite side. Fold the ribbon so that both of the right sides are showing. Then, clip off the end and scrunch it down into the Bowdabra Mini Bow Maker.

Cut a smaller piece of ribbon and make a loop of it. Bring your wire through the loop and bows. Insert one end through the loop and pull it tight in the back. Tie a knot in the wire.

This picture is of the bow after the wire has been pulled tight behind it.

After you make the knot, trim the Bowdabra Bow Wire off and glue the ribbon to the barrette.

A perfect hair bow for “Back to School”.

Second back to school bow

For the second bow get the Bowdabra Mini Bow Maker ready just as before with the Bowdabra Silver Wire in it and ready to go.

Make a circle of the other ribbon (the ABC & 123) and scrunch it down into the Bowdabra Mini Bow Maker. Pull the wire up and insert the loose end through the loop and pull it tight in the back of the bow. Make a knot.

Trim the ends of the Bowdabra Silver Wire off and glue the bow to the Hair clip.

The second bow is a bit smaller that a littler girl might wear.

Both of the bows turned out just perfect for going back to school.  Be sure and check out Bowdabra blog and also LARibbons and Crafts Supplies to see all that they both have to help you make the perfect things from your ribbons.
