Make the perfect holiday bow centerpiece by putting a beautiful bow on a plain swag wreath. Adding a bow to a plain swag wreath is super simple to do and the design options are unlimited! No other decorations are needed with the perfect bow.
This holiday bow centerpiece is perfect for any holiday simply by changing the swag and ribbon colors. Think New Year’s parties, Easter, and Fall! And the bow is created using the Bowdabra! Here’s how:
Wire edge ribbon – 2.5″
Start by folding a 18″ length of bow wire in half and place in the Bowdabra, tucking ends under. Leave the ribbon on the roll so not to waist any, creasing the ribbon just above a six inch tail and insert ribbon down into the Bowdabra.
Make a five inch loop and press into the Bowdabra.
Fold the ribbon on the opposite side, making a matching five inch loop, inserting down.
Fold and insert two more loops on each side for a total of five loops, making sure to scrunch down the ribbon using the Bowdabra wand.
Then dovetail the ribbon ends by folding the ribbon together and cutting at an angle from the fold down to the corner tip.
While the bow is still in the Bowdabra, thread the two loose ends of the bow wire through the loop, pulling tightly and tie in a knot at the back, gently pulling bow out. Then fluff and straighten the loops and bow.
Position the swag wreath in the center of the table and
tie the bow onto the center with the bow wire for the perfect holiday bow centerpiece.
