How to make a beautiful baby girl headband

Hi, I’m Sandy Sandler, the creator of the Bowdabra, and today I’m going to show you how to make a cute little baby girl headband.  This headband makes a great baby shower gift!  So, let’s get started.

Instructions:

First, cut a length of Bowdabra bow wire, fold it in half, and place it in the Mini Bowdabra.  Tuck the ends underneath to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.

Then, take the 26” of pink ribbon, fold in half to find the center, and place in the Bowdabra.  Fold one side over to make a loop and repeat with a matching loop on the other side.  Now, bring the tails up and scrunch with a mountain fold in the middle and insert into the Bowdabra. This way the tails are facing in the correct direction.  Repeat with the other tail.

Next, take the polka dot ribbon and fold it in half to find the center to make a boutique style bow. Place the ribbon right side down, scrunch to a mountain up fold and insert in the Bowdabra. Now fold one side over and place in the Bowdabra.  Then, take the other side bring it over, and under and insert it in the Bowdabra.  You will have an X shape. Scrunch the bottom loop in first, then the top loop.

Now, insert the corker ribbon pieces to your bow. (You can purchase pre-curled corker ribbon)

Scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand.  While holding down with your hand insert the two loose bow wires through the loop and pull tight. (slipknot) Turn to the back and tie a knot, double knot for extra security.

Attach the bow with the excess wire making sure you tie the knot on the inside so that the knot is not touching the child’s head.  Cut all excess wires.
