How to update ordinary household items with a Bowdabra bow

Materials:
Instructions:

First, take this soup tureen that’s been sitting in a cabinet for years because of its’ color and style . . .

We’ll start by cleaning it first and preparing it for painting by protecting a few important areas with paper and plastic.

Then, spray paint with several light coats of primer and paint.

Once the paint has dried, fill the tureen with foam and moss . . .

Next, add faux flowers and pumpkins to the mix.

Finally, enhance the household item with a gorgeous Bowdabra Bow!

Here’s how:

First, fold an 18″ piece of Bowdabra wire in half and lay in the Bowdabra. Tuck the ends under. Next, crease the end of the wired ribbon and place it down into the Bowdabra.

Make a 6″ loop on one side, placing ribbon into the Bowdabra!

Since the plaid design is on both sides, fold the other side at the same 6″ width for the next loop, creasing the ribbon down into the Bowdabra.

Continue to make loops on each side until you’re satisfied with the fullness and look. There are a total of twelve loops, six on each side. Then scrunch down the ribbon loops using the Bowdabra Wand.

At this point, it’s easier to dovetail the ends while the ribbon is scrunched down with the Bowdabra wand. Do this, by folding the ribbon in half and cut at an angle from the fold, down to the opposite wired end . . .

for a lovely finished look.

Make a slip knot by taking the loose ends of the bow wire through the wire loop, pulling tight while gently pulling the bow out. Then, separate the wires around to the back of the bow, tying in a double knot. Cut off excess bow wire.

Next, cut a 38″ strip of ribbon, pulling it through the handles and around the tureen. Pin together at the top.

Then, take another 38″ strip of ribbon and place along the middle of the front of the tureen, around to the back, meeting the other ribbon strip at the top of the flowers. Pin together to secure.

Add your Bowdabra bow

Attach the lovely created Bowdabra bow to the center for a gorgeous look!

Be sure to fluff the loops as you arrange the bow!

Adding a Bowdabra Bow is a wonderful way to top off and finish any design!
