Spring is just around the corner. So, let’s get ready for some bright and fun colors on our bows and wreaths! Watch Nick from Nick’s Seasonal Décor on Bowdabra Facebook Live, creating amazing spring bows and a fun tulip wreath. Tune in to learn the process of how to make these spring bows – from scratch!
1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
2. After cutting the tails, he makes one loop with the orange gingham ribbon and slips it right into the Bowdabra.
3. He repeats the process with the other ribbons one by one (yellow, green, and blue) to add to the other side of the Bowdabra till there are 4 layers of ribbon.
4. To secure the bow he brings the wire from one side to another to form a slip knot.
5. He finishes off by fluffing the loops and cutting the dovetail pattern on the tail ends.
Materials required:
Funky Pinstripe ribbon bow
Process:
1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and lays it in the Bowdabra. Then, he tucks it underneath the Bowdabra to stay out of the way.
2. He places a 22” tail right into either side of the Bowdabra with the yellow watercolor ribbon roll.
3. Using the yellow watercolor ribbon, he creates 4 big loops on both sides of the bowdabra.
4. He takes a green pinstripe ribbon and creates 4 big loops on both sides of the bowdabra with a cute button loop in the center.
5. He secures the bow with several wire knots in the back and finishes off by fluffing the loops and cutting the dovetail pattern on the tail ends.
Beautiful Spring Tulip Wreath with a Traditional Bow
Process:
1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
2. After cutting off a long tail, he places the tail right into the Bowdabra and creates 4
big loops on either side of the Bowdabra.
3. He secures the bow with several wire knots in the back and finishes off by fluffing
the loops and cutting the dovetail pattern on the tail ends.
4. In the end, he sticks the bow securely with hot glue to the wreath and adds some
tulip stems and decorative picks too.
Voila! You made a Spring Tulip Wreath!
A funky bow with Burlap ribbon roll
Process:
1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and places it underneath the Bowdabra.
2. After cutting off the tail, he places it right into the Bowdabra and keeps adding
multiple loops and tails.
3. In this fashion, he adds 4 loops on either side of the Bowdabra.
4. To secure the bow he brings the wire from one side to another and puts a slip knot.
5. He finishes off by fluffing the loops and cutting the dovetail pattern on the tail ends.
A Traditional bow with red chequered ribbon roll
Process:
1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
2. After cutting off the tail, he places it right into the Bowdabra.
3. He creates multiple loops (4-5) on both sides of the Bowdabra to give it a traditional bow
design.
4. He secures the bow with several wire knots in the back and finishes off by fluffing the loops and cutting the dovetail pattern on the tail ends.
