How to Decorate a Father’s Day Gift with Bowdabra

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman with you today sharing how to decorate a Father’s Day Gift with Bowdabra.  I know that you are thinking that  bows aren’t masculine – they are way too feminine!   Well, let me show you that with the right ribbon or fabric, you can create a fabulous masculine bow.

Father's Day

Supplies:
Mini Bowdabra Bowmaking Tool
Bow Wire
Ribbon

As we near Father’s Day, why not decorate a gift package with a fabulous bow.

Start by placing the bow wire under the Bowdabra while you work.  Add a 12″ length of ribbon in the channel.

Create your gift bow by passing the ribbon through the channel.
Either pinch the ribbon or twist it so it falls neatly on both sides.
Sometimes the ribbon is too thick to twist so pinching it works well.

Create loops on each side, each one a little smaller than the last so you have contrast.
Use the Bow Wand to push the loops into the channel.

Pull up on the bow wire and tie off.  Fluff out the gift bow.

Wrap the same ribbon around the box and use it to tie the gift bow in place.

Cut the edges of the tails and fluff the bow some more

Now that looks pretty masculine don’t you think?

Thanks for stopping by.
