Create Bows and Wreaths to Give Your Front Door Patriotic Flair

Today we’re going to share step by step bow and wreath-making tutorial to infuse patriotic spirit into your home all summer long! Double Ribbon Bow (Starts at 1:40)

Materials required:

 

Double Ribbon Bow

 

Process:

  1. First, Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
  2. After cutting off the tails (18” on either side) from the Red Plaid Wired Ribbon Roll and Navy-Blue Plaid Wired Ribbon Roll, he places them right into the Bowdabra.
  3. He takes the red plaid ribbon and places it into the Bowdabra and creates 3 loops (4 1/2”) on either side of the Bowdabra.
  4. He creates 2 loops (3”) on either side of the Bowdabra using the navy-blue plaid ribbon.
  5. Then, he creates 1 button loop (½”) using the red plaid ribbon.
  6. To secure the bow, he pulls the bow wire from one end to the other and makes slip knots.
  7. Nick finishes off by fluffing the loops and cutting the dovetail pattern on the tail ends.

 

Bright Pink Ribbon Bow (Starts at 8:12)

Materials required:

Process:

  1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
  2. He creates one loop, two tails cut it off and places it right into the Bowdabra.
  3. In the same fashion, he creates more 2 loops with the same ribbon.
  4. Next, he places the bright pink ribbon on the Bowdabra and creates 2 more loops.
  5. To secure the bow, he pulls the bow wire from one end to the other and makes slip knots.
  6. He finishes off by fluffing the loops and cutting the dovetail pattern on the tail ends.

 

Traditional Bow (Starts at 12:21)

Materials required:

 

 

Process:

  1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
  2. After cutting off the tails from the Dark Navy and White Striped ribbon roll, he places them right into the Bowdabra.
  3. He creates 9 loops on the Bowdabra to give it a traditional bow design.
  4. He secures the bow with several wire knots in the back and finishes off by fluffing the loops and cutting the dovetail pattern on the tail ends.

 

3-2-1 Bow (Starts at 16:36)

Materials required:

 

Process:

  1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
  2. After cutting off the tails from the Dark Navy and White Striped ribbon roll, he places them right into the Bowdabra.
  3. He creates 3 big loops on either side of the Bowdabra using the Dark Navy and White striped ribbon.
  4. Using the same ribbon, he creates 2 loops (2 ½ – 3”) on either side of the Bowdabra and 1 button loop.
  5. He secures the bow with several wire knots in the back and finishes off by fluffing the loops.

 

Floral Funky Patriotic Bow Wreath (Starts at 21:02)

Process:

  1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
  2. After cutting off the tails (20” on either side) from the Red Plaid Wired Ribbon Roll and Navy-Blue Plaid Wired Ribbon Roll, he places them right into the Bowdabra.
  3. He creates one loop with the red plaid ribbon, cuts it off, and places it right into the Bowdabra.
  4. Again he creates one loop with the blue plaid ribbon, cuts it off, and places it right into the Bowdabra.
  5. He repeats the process alternatively with the red and blue ribbon and creates a total of 4 loops on the Bowdabra.
  6. He secures the bow with several wire knots in the back and finishes off by fluffing the loops and cutting the dovetail pattern on the tail ends.
  7. In the end, he sticks the bow securely to the 18” wreath and adds some White, Red, Blue flower decorative picks with hot glue.

Voila! You made a beautiful Floral Patriotic Bow Wreath!
