- 2 ½” x 26 » posies ribbon, green
- Yellow posies ribbon 1 ½” x 19” with ends dovetailed
- 2 ½” x 16” posies ribbon, green with ends dovetailed
- 1 ½” x 34” yellow posies ribbon
- 1 ½” x 37 yellow posies ribbon
- Burlap roses (3)
- Faux baby’s breath floral
- 18” oval grapevine wreath
- Dollar tree hat
- Zots or a glue gun with glue sticks
First cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the end under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, take the 33” length of posies ribbon which you have already dovetailed the ends and lay it into the Bowdabra. (To dovetail, fold the ribbon in half and cut at an angle towards the fold.)
Now, take the 26” length of posies ribbon and take the right side facing down and scrunch it into the Bowdabra. Then, take the ribbon from the opposite side with the right side down and lay that in. Then push down the center so you have the two loops of a bow.
Next, take the 19” yellow posies ribbon and lay that in the Bowdabra. Now, take the 16” length of green posies ribbon and lay that in the Bowdabra as well.
Now, take the 34” piece of yellow posies ribbon and insert it into the Bowdabra. Fold and twist to make loops till you reach the end of the ribbon making sure the right side is facing up.
Then, take the burlap rose and lay that in the Bowdabra. Now, scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security.
Arrange and adjust your bow. Take some glue and attach the bow to the dollar store hat. Lay it aside.
Make the second bow
Fold the Bow wire in half as you did with the first bow and lay it into the Bowdabra. This will be your slip knot.
Now take the 37” length of yellow posies ribbon and lay it into the Bowdabra making sure the wrong side of the ribbon is on the inside of your bow. Then, fold and twist making loops twice, then add the burlap rose. Now, continue folding and twisting, making loops to the end.
Then, add the baby’s breath and the last rose. Take the Bow wire and pull it through the loop while the bow is in the Bowdabra. Separate the ends, pull tight, and remove from the Bowdabra. Bring the ends around to the back and tie a knot.
Take the grapevine wreath and tie the smaller bow to the bottom of the wreath with the excess bow wire. Now using Zots or a glue gun attach the bow with the hat to the top of the wreath.
