How to Make a Beautiful and Easy Valentine Wall Hanging

Besides the flowers and candy for Valentine’s Day, adding an adorable handmade Valentine’s Day Wall Hanging is always welcome and enjoyed! And the best part, you won’t believe how simple and easy it is to make! Simply choose your favorite Valentine ribbon to make a luscious bow using your Bowdabra for the beginning of a unique romantic statement. Here’s how!

Materials:

• Bowdabra tool and Wand
•  Bow wire
• Wired ribbon 2.5″
• Decorative Valentine ribbon 7/8″
• Glitter foam heart shapes
• Glitter adhesive back foam sheets
• Hot glue
• Clamp

Instructions:

Let’s begin by making the bow using the Bowdabra! Fold a 24″ piece of Bowdabra wire in half and lay it in the Bowdabra, tucking ends under. Measure 8″ of 2.5″ ribbon for the tail and make a crease in the middle, placing the ribbon at the crease markdown into the center of the Bowdabra.

To dovetail the ribbon ends

Gather both tail ends evenly and fold together. Cut at the fold on an angle down to the opposite ribbon edge – creating dovetails on each end at the same time.

Next, leave the ribbon on the roll to make your first loop. Fold over and make a crease into the ribbon creating a four-inch loop and press into the Bowdabra.

Next, fold the other side at the same width creating another four-inch loop.

Continue making two more loops on either side for a total of six, 4″ loops. Cut off the excess ribbon. Then scrunch the ribbon down with the Bowdabra wand.

While the bow is still in the Bowdabra, thread the two loose ends of the Bowdabra bow wire through the loop at the other end.

Pull the Bowdabra bow wire tightly while the bow is still in the Bowdabra and gently pull the bow out of the Bowdabra. Separate the loose wire ends and take them around to the back of the bow and tie in several knots to secure. Cut off excess wire.

Next, cut a 20″ strip of 7/8″ ribbon. Place hot glue around the center of the bow and wrap one end of the ribbon around, ending in the back. Secure with a clamp until the glue dries. Fluff bow and straighten tails.

Next, copy and paste LOVE letters to cut out.
Then attach to adhesive back glitter paper and cut-out. Place each letter on a 4″x3″ glitter heart shape . . .

and attach to hanging ribbon using hot glue.
