How to Make the Perfect St. Patrick’s Day Snow Globe

This St. Patrick’s snow globe uses gold coins and shamrocks in place of the “snow” in traditional snow globes. With a bit of adult help, preschoolers and kindergarteners will have success with this project.

Here are the supplies:

Let’s make the Snow Globe:

  1. Print and cut out the snow globe template.
  2. Glue or tape the pot to the paper plate positioned as shown below.
  3. Glue or tape a couple of coins and shamrocks to the paper plate.
  4. Lay the remaining coins and shamrocks on the paper plate, but don’t glue them.
  5. Run a bead of hot glue along the outer edge of the paper plate. Position the clear plastic plate upside down on the hot glue.
  6. Let the hot glue set up completely, then, shake your St. Patrick’s snow globe and watch the coins fly!!

Spring idea: The weather will soon be much warmer and kids will want to go outside and play.  Before they do gather up all the old plastic bags and recycle them into a fun jump rope!
