How to Make the Perfect Dryer Sheet Scrunchy Bow with Bowdabra

Let’s put used dryer sheets to good use and help minimize landfill. Used dryer sheets are not recyclable or compostable, so they end up as trash and go to landfills. But, you can use them to make a fabulous scrunchy bow.Dryer Sheets Scrunchie Bow

Let’s transform these used dryer sheets into a bow:

  1. In a small bowl combine warm water and a few drops of food coloring. Soak the used dryer sheets in the colored water for several minutes.Soak Dryer Sheet in Food Coloring Water
  2. Lay the colored dryer sheets on old towels or rags to dry. Try to avoid using paper towels—we want to reduce waste with this project as much as possible.Lay Dryer Sheets on Towels to Dry
  3. Cut the dryer sheets to an appropriate size for the size scrunchy bow you want to make. This bow is just over 4″ in diameter and I cut three red dryer sheets in half and one yellow dryer sheet in quarters, but only used two of the quarters.Cut Dryer Sheets to Appropriate Size
  4. Fold bow wire in half and put it in the Mini Bowdabra. Tuck the ends of the wire under the Mini Bowdabra to keep them out of the way.Wire in Mini Bowdabra Silver
  5. Scrunch the half dryer sheets into the Mini Bowdabra.Scrunch Half Dryer Sheets in Mini Bowdabra
