How to Make an Adorable Easter Bunny Bow from Used Dryer Sheets

Used dryer sheets are not recyclable or compostable, so they end up as trash and go to landfills. Make this adorable Easter bunny bow to put those used dryer sheets to good use and help minimize landfill.Dryer Sheet Bunny Bow

Here are the supplies you’ll need for your Dryer Sheet Easter Bunny Bow:

Let’s make the Dryer Sheet Bunny Bow:

  1. Cut four of the used dryer sheet in half. You’ll end up with eight pieces measuring about 4½” x 6″. Cut two of the sheet into quarters. That will make eight pieces about 3″ x 4½”.
  2. Fold the remaining dryer sheet in half and position the printed bunny ears template on it as shown. Cut out the ears.
  3. Shade the center of the bunny ears with a pink marker (crayon or paint will work, too). Set the ears aside for now.
  4. Fold one of the 18″ lengths of bow wire in half and put it in the Mini Bowdabra. Tuck the ends of the wire under the Mini Bowdabra to keep them out of the way.

  5. One at a time scrunch the eight half dryer sheets into the Mini Bowdabra. The dryer sheets are springy, so you may need to compress them periodically with the wand.
  6. When all eight of the half sheets are in the Mini Bowdabra, compress the dryer sheets with the Mini Bowdabra wand.
  7. With the dryer sheets still in the Mini Bowdabra, pass the wire ends through the loop, and tighten. Bring the wires to the back side of the bow and tie a knot. Leave the wire end long for now.
  8. Separate the dryer sheet layers, and fluff the bow.
  9. Repeat Steps 4 through 8 for the eight dryer sheet quarters.
  10. Now, let’s work on the ears. Lay the unfolded 9″ length of bow wire in the Mini Bowdabra.
  11. Fanfold the bottom ends of the ears.
  12. Place the ears side by side in the Mini Bowdabra.
  13. With the ears still in the Mini Bowdabra, tie a secure knot with the bow wire.
  14. Nestle the two bows together and tie them to one another using the bow wire ends. Leave these wire ends uncut for now.
    Finishing

  15. Use the bow wire from the ears to tie them to the back where the bows meet.
  16. Now your used dryer sheet bunny bow is ready to use. I used the uncut bow wires to tie mine onto a wreath, and added a Happy Easter badge. The downloadable Happy Easter badge comes in 3″, 4″, and 5″ sizes.
