How to make DIY Sunflower Wreath and Bows – Bowdabra Tutorial

How to make a DIY wreath with sunflowers? A sunflower wreath is a great decoration for your door not only during the summer season but for every season of the year. You can easily craft a fantastic front door decoration to welcome visitors and family members. DIY Sunflower Bow Wreath (Starts At 1:25)

Materials Required:

  • 100-Yard Bowdabra Bow Wire
  • Large Bowdabra
  • Lime Green Ribbon Roll
  • 14” Grapevine Wreath
  • Sunflower Stem with Leaves sprays/picks
  • Hot Glue

 

DIY Sunflower Bow Wreath

Process:

  1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
  2. After cutting off the long tails from the lime green ribbon roll, he places them right into the Bowdabra.
  3. He takes the ribbon, flips it inside out, places it on the Bowdabra, and creates 8 loops.
  4. He secures the bow with several wire knots in the back and finishes off by fluffing the loops and cutting the tail ends at an angle.
  5. In the end, he sticks the bow securely to the wreath and adds some decorative sunflower stems with leaves sprays/picks with hot glue.

 

Double Ribbon Bow (Starts at 5:50)

Materials required:

  • 100-yard Bowdabra bow wire
  • Large Bowdabra
  • 2 ½” Pink Ribbon Roll
  • 1 ½” Blue Ribbon Roll

 

Double Ribbon Bow

Process:

  1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
  2. He creates one loop (4 ½” loop, 6”-8” tails) with the blue ribbon, cuts it off, and places it right into the Bowdabra.
  3. Next, he creates one loop (4 ½” loop, 6”-8” tails) with the pink ribbon, cuts it off, and places it right into the Bowdabra.
  4. Using the blue and pink ribbon, in the same fashion, he creates 4 more loops on the Bowdabra.
  5. He secures the bow with several wire knots in the back and finishes off by fluffing the loops and cutting the dovetail pattern on the tail ends.

 

Burlap Ribbon Bow (Starts at 12:40)

Process:

  1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
  2. After cutting off the tails from the burlap ribbon roll, he places them right into the Bowdabra.
  3. He takes the ribbon, flips it inside out, places it on the Bowdabra, and creates 4 loops (6”) on the Bowdabra.
  4. Then, he creates 2 comparatively smaller (4”) loops on the Bowdabra and 1 button loop.
  5. He pulls the bow wire from one end to the other and ties the bow.
  6. He finishes off by fluffing all the loops.

 

DIY Mini Bow (Starts at 15:50)

Materials Required:

  • 100-Yard Bowdabra Bow Wire
  • Mini Bowdabra
  • 2 ½” Pink Ribbon Roll
  • 1 ½” Blue Ribbon Roll

 

DIY Mini Bow

Process:

  1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
  2. After cutting off the tails from the pink and blue ribbon roll, he places them right into the Bowdabra (the blue ribbon tail is shorter than the pink one).
  3. He takes the pink ribbon, flips it inside out, places it on the Bowdabra, and creates 4 loops on the Bowdabra.
  4. Using the blue ribbon, he creates 2 comparatively smaller loops on the Bowdabra and 1 button loop.
  5. He pulls the bow wire from one end to the other and ties the bow.
  6. He finishes off by fluffing the loops and cutting the dovetail pattern on the tail ends.

 

DIY Gift Bow (Starts at 26:04)

Materials required:

  • 100-yard Bowdabra bow wire
  • Large Bowdabra
  • Black/White Striped Ribbon Roll

 

DIY Gift Bow

Process:

  1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
  2. He takes the ribbon, flips it inside out, places it on the Bowdabra, and creates 12 loops.
  3. Then, he pulls the bow wire from one end to the other and ties the bow.
  4. He finishes off by fluffing all the loops.
