How to make DIY Classic Style Wreath & Bows – Bowdabra Tutorial

DIY Traditional Bow (Starts at 2:04)

Materials required:

Process:

  1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
  2. After cutting off the long tails from the multicolor ribbon roll, he places them right into the Bowdabra.
  3. He takes the ribbon, flips it inside out, places it on the Bowdabra, and creates 10 loops.
  4. He secures the bow with several wire knots in the back and finishes off by fluffing the loops and curling up the tails.

 

DIY Classic Style Funky Bow (Starts at 6:43)

Materials Required:

  • 100-Yard Bowdabra Bow Wire
  • Large Bowdabra
  • 2 ½” Multicolor Ribbon Roll

 

DIY Classic Style Funky Bow

Process:

  1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
  2. He creates one loop with the multicolor ribbon, cuts it off, and places it right into the Bowdabra.
  3. In the same fashion, he creates 4 more loops on the Bowdabra.
  4. He secures the bow with several wire knots in the back and finishes off by fluffing the loops and cutting the dovetail pattern on the tail ends.

 

Double Ribbon Bow (Starts at 11:12)

Materials Required:

 

Double Ribbon Bow

Process:

  1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
  2. After cutting off the tails from the white-black striped ribbon and white satin ribbon roll, he places them right into the Bowdabra.
  3. He takes the white-black striped ribbon, flips it inside out, places it on the Bowdabra, and creates 5 loops.
  4. Using white satin ribbon, he creates 3 comparatively smaller loops on the Bowdabra.
  5. Next, he takes the white-black striped ribbon, places it on the Bowdabra, and creates 1 button loop.
  6. He secures the bow with several wire knots in the back and finishes off by fluffing the loops.

 

DIY Classic Style Double Bow Wreath (Starts at 15:22)

Materials required:

  • 100-yard Bowdabra bow wire
  • Mini Bowdabra
  • Lime green-White Striped Ribbon Roll
  • Grapevine Wreath
  • Pink Flower Stem with Leaves sprays/picks
  • Hot Glue

 

DIY Classic Style Double Bow Wreath

Process:

  1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Mini Bowdabra.
  2. He takes the ribbon, flips it inside out, places it on the Bowdabra, and creates 14 loops (4 ½” – 5”).
  3. He pulls the bow wire from one end to the other and ties the bow.
  4. Then, he sticks the bow securely to the wreath and adds some decorative pink flower stems with leaves sprays with hot glue.
  5. To make the second bow, Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Large Bowdabra.
  6. He takes the lime green-white striped ribbon, flips it inside out, places it on the Bowdabra, and creates 7 loops.
  7. He pulls the bow wire from one end to the other and ties the bow.
  8. In the end,  he sticks the mini bow on the lower right of the wreath and adds some decorative pink flower sprays around it with hot glue.

 

Long Tail Bow (Starts at 19:47)

Materials Required:

  • 100-Yard Bowdabra Bow Wire
  • Large Bowdabra
  • White Satin Wired Ribbon Roll

 

Long Tail Bow

Process:

  1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
  2. After cutting off the long tails (20” on either side) from the white satin ribbon roll, he places them right into the Bowdabra.
  3. He takes the ribbon, flips it inside out, places it on the Bowdabra, and creates 9 loops.
  4. He secures the bow with several wire knots in the back and finishes off by fluffing the loops.
