How to make DIY Summer Wreath and Bows – Bowdabra Tips

Here we’ve gathered Sun-sational DIY summer wreath and bows in hopes of getting you into the crafty spirit! If you don’t know how to create DIY summer wreaths & bows, follow this tutorial with step-by-step instructions! All you need is ribbons, bow-making tools, and a pair of scissors.

Funky Summer Bow (Starts At 1:54)

Materials required:

 

DIY Funky Bow

Process:

  1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
  2. He creates one loop (4” loop, 6”- 8” tails) with the ribbon, cuts it off, and places it right into the Bowdabra.
  3. In the same fashion, he creates 4 more loops on the Bowdabra.
  4. He secures the bow with several wire knots in the back and finishes off by fluffing the loops and cutting the dovetail pattern on the tail ends.

 

Double Ribbon Bow (Starts at 7:48)

Double Ribbon Bow

Process:

  1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
  2. After cutting off the tails long from the lime green solid ribbon roll and lime green-white striped ribbon roll, he places them right into the Bowdabra one by one.
  3. He takes the lime green solid ribbon, flips it inside out, places it on the Bowdabra, and creates 3 loops (3 ½”).
  4. He creates another 3 loops (2”) and 1 button loop with the lime green-white striped ribbon.
  5. Next, he secures the bow with several wire knots in the back and finishes off by fluffing the loops and cutting the dovetail pattern on the tail ends.

 

DIY Summer Bow Wreath (Starts at 12:25)

Materials required:

  • 100-yard Bowdabra bow wire
  • Large Bowdabra
  • White Sheer Ribbon Roll
  • 14” Grapevine Wreath
  • Lavender Stem with Leaves Sprays/Picks
  • Greenery Picks
  • Hot Glue

 

DIY Summer Bow Wreath

Process:

  1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
  2. After cutting off tails from the white sheer ribbon roll, he places them right into the Bowdabra.
  3. He takes the ribbon, flips it inside out, places it on the Bowdabra, and creates 8 loops.
  4. He secures the bow with several wire knots in the back and finishes off by fluffing the loops.
  5. In the end, he sticks the bow securely to the wreath and adds some lavender stem with leaves sprays, and a few pieces of greenery picks with hot glue.

 

DIY Mini Bow (Starts At 21:45)

Materials required:

  • 100-yard Bowdabra bow wire
  • Mini Bowdabra
  • Blue Burlap Ribbon Roll

 

DIY Mini Bow

Process:

  1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
  2. After cutting off the tails from the blue burlap ribbon roll, he places them right into the Bowdabra.
  3. He places the ribbon in, leaves a little bit of overhang, and creates 4 loops (2 ½”) on the Bowdabra.
  4. Next, he creates 2 comparatively smaller loops and 1 button loop.
  5. He secures the bow with several wire knots in the back.
  6. He finishes off by fluffing the loops and cutting the dovetail pattern on the tail ends.

 

DIY Summer Bow (Starts At 24:52)

Materials Required:

  • 100-Yard Bowdabra Bow Wire
  • Large Bowdabra
  • 1 ½” Yellow-White Ribbon Roll

 

DIY Tails Only Bow

Process:

  1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
  2. After cutting off the long tails from the yellow-white ribbon roll, he places them right into the Bowdabra.
  3. He cuts off a bunch of tails (6) from the same ribbon and places them right into the Bowdabra one by one.
  4. Next, he finishes it off with a button loop.
  5. He pulls the bow wire from one end to the other and ties the bow.
  6. He finishes off by fluffing the loops and cutting the dovetail pattern on the tail ends.
