How To Create DIY Spring Style Wreath and Bows

Today Bowdabra is sharing some amazing DIY spring-style wreath and bows techniques using bow-making tools. Most of our wreaths won’t take too much time to construct, all you need is a little more patience and skill. DIY Spring Bow (Starts at 2:15)

Materials required:

 

DIY Spring Bow

Process:

  1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
  2. After cutting off the tails 20” long from the ribbon roll, he places them right into the Bowdabra.
  3. He places the ribbon in, leaves a little bit of overhang, and creates 4 loops (3½” – 4”) on the Bowdabra.
  4. Next, he creates 4 comparatively smaller loops (2 ½”) and creates 1 button loop.
  5. He secures the bow with several wire knots in the back.
  6. He finishes off by fluffing the loops.

 

DIY Funky Bow (Starts At 7:30)

Materials Required:

 

DIY Funky Bow

Process:

  1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
  2. He cuts off a bunch of tails (6) from the ribbon roll.
  3. Next, he picks up one of those tails, creates 1 loop, and places it right into the Bowdabra.
  4. In the same fashion, he creates 5 more loops on the Bowdabra.
  5. He secures the bow with several wire knots in the back and finishes off by fluffing the loops and cutting the dovetail pattern on the tail ends.

 

DIY Spring Bow Wreath (Starts At 15:23)

Materials Required:

  • 100-Yard Bowdabra Bow Wire
  • Large Bowdabra
  • Yellow-White Ribbon Roll
  • 14” Grapevine Wreath
  • Yellow Pansies flower & leaves picks
  • Hot Glue

 

DIY Spring Wreath

Process:

  1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
  2. After cutting off the long tails from the yellow-white ribbon roll, he places them right into the Bowdabra.
  3. He takes the ribbon, flips it inside out, places it on the Bowdabra, and creates 9 loops (3 ½”).
  4. He secures the bow with several wire knots in the back and finishes off by fluffing the loops and curling up the tails.
  5. In the end, he sticks the bow securely to the wreath and adds some decorative yellow pansies flowers & leaves picks with hot glue.

 

DIY Mini Bow (Starts at 26:18)

Materials Required:

  • 100-Yard Bowdabra Bow Wire
  • Mini Bowdabra
  • Black Satin Ribbon Roll

 

DIY Mini Bow

Process:

  1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
  2. After cutting off the tails (12” on each side) from the black satin ribbon roll, he places them right into the Bowdabra.
  3. He takes the ribbon, flips it inside out, places it on the Bowdabra, and creates 4 loops and 1 button loop.
  4. Then, Nick pulls the bow wire from one end to the other and ties the bow.
  5. He finishes off by fluffing the loops and cutting the dovetail pattern on the tail ends.
