Could you or someone you know use a little pick-me-up? If so, the next time you pass by your local grocery floral department, check out the ‘expired’ flowers they may have out at a reduced price for quick sale!!
Most of the time they are still good and will last another week or 2 for less than half the price of the new shipments.
First thing, new or expired, they’ll need to be cleaned and processed before arranging. Next, you probably have a collection of vases sitting around from past flowers you’ve received… Well, it’s time to use one!!
Preparing your floral bouquet vase
Wash it out good, fill it with fresh water & part of the floral food packet that comes with the floral bouquet. If you have a cutting garden or growing anything in your yard that would look nice & make your bouquet bigger/prettier, go cut a few to enhance your floral presentation!! I used hydrangeas & greenery from my yard in this one. Next, clean up your floral stems/flowers, arrange them and then go out and make someone’s day!!
