Bowdabra

How to dress up a handmade greeting card with a beautiful Bowdabra bow

wDo you have a handmade greeting card that you want to embellish?  Put a Bowdabra bow on it and immediately it becomes even more beautiful!

Hello, everyone!

It’s Nancy back with a fun Bowdabra project!
This time I used my Mini Bowdabra Bow Making Tool
to put the finishing touches on my card.

I made a card.
but I didn’t want to add a sentiment to it.
I also didn’t want to add any flowers,
since the flower image was the focal point.

So what do I do?
I pull out some pretty ribbon and my Bowdabra.
Here’s what I made:

Here is how I embellished a handmade greeting card:
Supplies used:
Greeting Card;
Ribbon.
Here is the card I made.
First, I chose this pretty green ribbon that matched.
I only had this one piece.
I adhered the strip of ribbon across the bottom of my card.
Then I grabbed my Mini Bowdabra.
I cut about 16″ of wire, folded it in half,
and inserted it into my bow making tool.
I placed my ribbon into the tool.
Leaving a tail on one side, I created a loop on the other side.
I repeated this process until I had two loops on each side.
There is a benefit to using this tool when you only have one piece of ribbon left.
It’s easy to adjust the ribbon back and forth,
ensuring that the loops and tails are even,
and using the entire piece.
I used the wand to scrunch the ribbon down.
Pull up the wire, and inserted the tail ends through the loop.
I pulled tight, while holding the ribbon down,
and pulled the bow from the tool.
Here is the bow as it is right out of the tool.
Here it is on my card.
I tied the wire tight and trimmed the ends.
I adjusted the loops and tails,
and adhered the bow in place on my card.
It’s just what I needed to finish off my card.
I left the gold wire showing in the middle of my bow,
then added a little more sparkle with the rhinestones in the top corners.

Sometimes, all you need to do is put a bow on it!
