Sandy Sandler, the creator of the Bowdabra is here to show you the easy steps to make an amazing autumn door swag or wreath bow with Bowdabra. You can have your fall decor all set to go in just minutes! So, let’s get started…
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, lay in the Eucalyptus pick. Then, cut two lengths of the gold leaf sheer ribbon and an equal amount of the sheer gold ribbon. Dovetail the ends. To dovetail, fold the ribbon in half and cut at an angle away from the fold. Working with both ribbons together, place them into the Bowdabra.
Now, take two longer lengths of the two ribbons and working together, twist and place them into the Bowdabra. Twist and make loops back and forth till you reach the end of the ribbons. Take the wand and give everything a good scrunch.
Finally, add the second fall pick and give everything another good scrunch with the Bowdabra wand.
Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security.
To finish, fluff and arrange the bow by pulling the ribbons apart and shaping. You have this gorgeous autumn door swag or you can use it as a wreath bow.
