Sandy Sandler, the creator of the Bowdabra is here to show you the easy steps to make a super cute mini décor wreath or centerpiece with Bowdabra. Use it on your door or use it as a sweet centerpiece. So, let’s get started.
Package of mini single fern leaves from Dollar Tree Or any other kind of small flat greenery (You will use five of the six pieces.)
Spanish moss
1– Bird
1– Birds nest
3– Mini plastic robin eggs
1–5 to the 6-inch mini wreath
1– Baby’s breath
Dollar Tree 1–2 stems of a spiky berry bush
1.5 yards of 1.5-inch wide natural wired net ribbon to make 3-3.5 inch loops on each side of the bow, with a button loop center.
First, cut the floral foam into a small block to fit inside the mini wreath, keeping it level with the wreath. Optionally, you can hot glue the floral foam into the wreath if necessary. if you get it tight enough, however, it will stay in place.
Next, cover all of the floral foam with Spanish moss. Place the nest into the floral foam & add the bird. The pick on the bird will hold the nest in place.
Now, add the leaves into the foam, fanning them out from the sides and behind the nest. Place a few sprigs of baby’s breath in the foam, beside and behind the nest. Frame around it, but do not block the front view.
Lay or glue the eggs into the nest under and around the bird. Optionally add 1-2 stems of spiky flowers.
Now, make the bow in the Mini Bowdabra. Place the Bowdabra bow wire into the Mini Bowdabra. Add in your 2-8 inch tails. Build the bow with a 2.5-inch wired net ribbon, making 3-4 inch loops on each side. Next, using the 1-inch wide jute ribbon make 3-3.5 inch loops on each side and a button loop center.
Use a floral stem scrap or a skewer stick piece in the Mini Bowdabra after you place the Bowdabra bow wire down, so there will be a pick attached to the bow. Then, you’ll easily be able to push the bow down into the floral foam.
To finish, fluff and shape the bow and place it down into the floral foam slightly to the right and in the very front of the arrangement. That’s it, so easy! Use it on your doors or as a sweet centerpiece.
