How to Make DIY Christmas Bows & Wreaths – Bowdabra Tutorial

With the holidays here, you’ll see the big fancy Christmas bows everywhere! On trees, wreaths presents, and so much more. The possibilities of what you can adorn with one of those fancy Christmas bows during the holiday season are endless. Today we’re going to share with you how to make the perfect Christmas bows and wreaths using bow-making tools. Present Bow For Christmas (Starts at 1:45)

Process:

  1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
  2. He takes the ribbon, flips it inside out, places it on the Bowdabra, and creates 11 loops about 4”.
  3. Then, he pulls the bow wire from one end to the other and ties the bow.
  4. He finishes off by fluffing all the loops.

 

DIY Tails Only Bow (Starts at 6:15)

Process:

  1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
  2. He cuts off a bunch of tails (5 long tails, 5 short tails) from the ribbon roll and places the long tails first, and keeps the smaller pieces on the top to create a flower design.
  3. He pulls the bow wire from one end to the other and ties the bow.
  4. He finishes off by fluffing the loops and cutting the dovetail pattern on the tail ends.

 

DIY Bow Wreath (Starts at 12:40)

Process:

  1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
  2. After cutting off two tails from the green ribbon roll, he places them right into the Bowdabra.
  3. He cuts off a bunch of tails (6) from the same ribbon roll.
  4. Next, he takes those pieces of ribbons, creates loops, and places them one by one in opposite direction.
  5. He pulls the bow wire from one end to the other and ties the bow.
  6. He finishes off by fluffing the loops and cutting the dovetail pattern on the tail ends.
  7. In the end, he sticks the bow securely to the wreath and adds some decorative sunflower stems with leaves sprays/picks with hot glue.

Process:

  1. Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
  2. After cutting off the long tails from the ribbon roll, he places them right into the Bowdabra.
  3. He places the ribbon in, leaves an overhang, flips the Bowdabra, and creates 10 loops (4”).
  4. He secures the bow with several wire knots in the back and finishes off by fluffing the loops.
