How to make a simple satin bow – pro tips
Materials:
For double-faced satin ribbon:

For single-faced satin ribbon:

Mini Bowdabra

Bowdabra bow wire

Single-faced satin ribbon

1.5×8″ for Tail

1.5×35″ for Bow

Instructions for the first bow:

First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire.  Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra.  You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side.  This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.

Next, Lay the tails into the Mini Bowdabra. Now take the longer piece of satin and twist it well so it holds everything down and place it in the Mini Bowdabra. Fold it across and twist it all the way around and place it in the Bowdabra. Satin is slippery so twisting tightly keeps everything in place.

Fold it across again for another loop twisting tightly each time to form a bow, then make a smaller loop for the center without twisting. (3-2-1)

Scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn it to the back and tie a knot.  Tie a double knot for extra security.

Instructions for the second bow:

Cut some Bowdabra wire and fold and place in the Bowdabra as you did with the first bow. Now dovetail the ends of the tail pieces and scrunch into the Bowdabra.

Now, make a boutique-style bow with a longer piece of ribbon.  Find the center and place it on the right side of the ribbon down into the Bowdabra.  Next, take one end of the ribbon bring it over, and scrunch that right side down into the Bowdabra. Then, bring the other end over the first loop which forms a sort of X shape, and lay that in the Bowdabra. Now, push the lower ribbon in first, then push the top one and you have a boutique bow.  Scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand.

Finish with a slip knot with the Bowdabra wire.  Tie a double knot like the first bow. Shape out your bow and you have an adorable and so simple satin bow!
