In this quick and easy video DIY, Sandy Sandler the creator of the Bowdara, shows you how to make this jaw-dropping fall bow. This amazing bow is perfect for a wreath or as a swag. So let’s get started:
Materials:
- Gilded leaves ribbon 3 yards
- Gilded leaves ribbon ¾ of a yard
- Chicago ribbon ¾ of a yard
- Chicago ribbon 3 yards
- Bowdabra
- Bowdabra bow wire
Instructions:
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, take ¾ of a yard of the gilded leaves ribbon and Chicago ribbon and working together lay them in the Bowdabra.
Then again working with both ribbons together and the 3-yard lengths, twist the ribbon and create a loop. Continue twisting and making loops to from a bow.
Now, scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security.
Shape and arrange the bow by pulling apart the loops in different directions.
