Materials:

1 – 2 yards of 21”’wide deco mesh

Cascading Greenery Bush

Small compact Greenery Bush

Assorted florals/fillers stems and picks

98” – 4” wide wired burlap ribbon

Large Bowdabra

Bowdabra Bow Wire

Outdoor use Command hooks or Stainless Steel towel hooks

Instructions:

First, cut an extra long piece of Bowdabra bow wire.  Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra.  You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side.  This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.

Next, roll the ends of a 21″ wide deco mesh and scrunch it in the large Bowdabra. Keep scrunch in from the top down to create a sort of ruffle bow.

Now, take a large floral bush and bend it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. Add some floral picks next. Work these picks in on each side evenly.

Next, lay in two tails from the burlap ribbon which has already been dovetailed. To dovetail, fold the ribbon in half and cut at an angle away from the fold. Add another floral bush on top of the tails.

Now, create a funky bow by folding pieces of the burlap ribbon with a loop on one side and two tails on the other and lay them in the Bowdabra, alternating the loop and tail sides. Fill in the center with some leftover separate florals.

Finishing your mailbox floral swag

Finally, scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand.  Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back and tie a knot.  Tie a double knot for extra security.

Fluff and arrange your swag. Place some command strip hooks on the sides of the mailbox, or use the stainless steel hooks.  Center the swag on top of the mailbox and attach with the hooks.  Fluff and shape your swag one final time. Step back and admire your stunning floral masterpiece you made with the Bowdabra!
