History of Memorial Day:
 
May 30th is Decoration Day, which falls on Memorial Day Weekend… This day in Spring was chosen for decoration day to ensure the greatest amount of flowers were in bloom across the country. Decoration Day was started in America 3 years after the Civil war. Today, we use primarily artificial flowers for the memorial tributes.
 
In this video, we will go over a few different types of floral displays, how to get the most flowers for your money & how to pretreat/prepare your flowers to get them to last as long as possible outdoors in all different types of weather.

 

Materials for base arrangements:
  • Large Bowdabra
  • Bowdabra Bow Wire or Zip Tie
  • 6-10 (6stem) Dollar Tree Mixed Bouquets
  • Floral Foam
  • 1/3 of a Exfoliating Shower Poof
  • Heavy Duty 16-18 gage floral wire
  • Hot Glue
  • Optional: Clear Gloss Spray,
  • Sharpie, Steamer and the cleaner… Wet & Forget
