Brrr, baby it’s cold outside! You can, however, stay warm by making this adorable, easy no sew fleece bow ear warmer to wear outside on bitterly cold days!
You will need:
First, measure around your head and over your ears, using a measuring tape. I measured 23 inches around my head and added another inch for the seam allowance. Then cut out a piece of fleece 5″ wide by 24″ long, making sure the longer length is the stretchy side. Luckily, fleece doesn’t fray!
Next, fold the right side ends together and run a bead of fabric glue along one edge and seal ends together to form a seam. Let dry and set aside while you make the bow to dress up the plain looking band.
First, cut a 18″ piece of Bowdabra bow wire, fold in half and place in the Mini Bowdabra, tucking ends under. Crease the end of the fleece, right side down and push down into the Mini Bowdabra.
Crease the other end of the fleece and take over the mini bowdabra tower and around down into the Mini Bowdabra to form the loops.
Next, crease the center of the fleece, making sure the 3 inch loops on each side are even and place down into the Mini Bowdabra.
Scrunch down the fleece with the Mini Bowdabra Wand.
While the bow is still in the Mini Bowdabra, thread the loose ends of the bow wire through the loop. Gently pull the fleece together, but not too tight. Tie into a knot in the back and cut off excess wire. You want to have loose folds for this bow. Cut a strip of fleece 1 1/2″x4″ long to finish the bow.
Take the fleece band with the glued seam and turn right side out, centering the seam. Then, gently fold seam together.
Place fleece bow on top and wrap fleece strip around bow and one side of fleece band, sealing the strip together with fabric glue. Then, allow to dry.
Your lovely No Sew Fleece Bow Ear Warmer is ready to keep you warm and look fabulous at the same time!
