How to Use Ribbon and Bows to Make this Adorable Pumpkin Decor

Looking for a unique way to decorate your pumpkins? Why not give them a sassy fall look using ribbons and bows! It’s a fabulous way to make an adorable decor pumpkin! And the perfect accent piece for your fall holiday decor. Plus, you won’t believe how easy it is to create the look! Here’s how:

Adorable  Pumpkin Decor with Ribbons and Bows

Materials:
Pumpkin (12″)
Assorted LaRibbonsandcrafts grosgrain ribbon
Hot glue
Bowdabra
Bowdabra Bow Wire

To Decorate the Pumpkin:
Start with an assorted selection of gorgeous #LaRibbonsandcrafts Halloween and fall grosgrain ribbons!

Prepare Your Pumpkin

First, secure one end of ribbon strips to the base of the pumpkin stem using hot glue.   Pull the ribbon down and around the pumpkin and up again to the base of the stem on the opposite side. Cut off excess ribbon and secure ribbon with more hot glue.

Glue on additional ribbon strips around the pumpkin in a clockwise matching pattern for ribbon placement, following the previous steps.

Make the Bows

After that,  make lots of bows using your Bowdabra by first folding an 18″ piece of bow wire together and placing in the Bowdabra, tucking ends under. Next, crease the ribbon allowing for a five-inch tail and insert down into the Bowdabra.

Because the ribbon is printed on one side, fold a four-inch loop and twist down into the Bowdabra, making sure the pattern is on the outside.

Next, fold a four-inch loop on the opposite side and twist down into the Bowdabra.

Continue to fold and twist two more 4″ loops on either side . . .

for a total of four loops! Be sure to finish and seal ribbon ends.

Then, scrunch down the bow ribbon using the Bowdabra Wand.

Finishing Your Bow

While the bow is still in the Bowdabra, thread the two loose ends of the bow wire through the loop, pulling tightly and tie in a knot, gently pulling the bow out. Cut off excess bow wire. Fluff the loops and bow.

Now, make several more bows using LaRibbonsandcrafts ribbon . . .

Glue them just below and around the pumpkin stem.
