How to make the best dollar store patriotic hat

Materials:

• Dollar store hat and scarf
• Red tulle #1366, 6” x 18”
• White tulle #1366, 6” x 18”
• Blue tulle #1366 6” x 72”
• Bowdabra
• Bowdabra bow wire

Instructions:

First, wrap the patriotic Dollar Tree scarf around the hat and tie a knot.  Set aside. (You may hot glue it if desired)

Next, cut a piece of silver Bowdabra bow wire.  Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra.  You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side.  This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.

Now take a piece of red tulle and lay that down into the Bowdabra.  Follow this by placing a piece of white tulle in the Bowdabra.

Then, take the blue tulle and place one end in the Bowdabra, make loops back and forth to form a large bow making the loops slightly smaller as you progress.  Finish the bow by making a small loop in the center.

To finish, take the Bowdabra wand and give everything a good scrunch down. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot.  Tie a double knot for extra security.

Finally, take the bow and either tie it to the scarf you wrapped around your hat or glue it on. You have a super simple and inexpensive dollar store patriotic hat!
