Sandy will guide you through each step, from preparing the mug, adding the gifts, wrapping it with cellophane, to making and attaching a beautiful bow using the Bowdabra and Bowdabra bow wire
First, start with a simple dollar store mug. This will serve as the base of your Father’s Day gift. Fill the bottom of the mug with some scrunchy ribbon. This not only adds a pop of color but also serves as a cushion for the items we will be adding next.
Next, add a pair of dollar store socks with a fun barbecue design. These quirky socks are a fun and practical gift that any dad would appreciate. After the socks, add a few candies on top. Now, your gift mug has a delightful mix of fun and sweetness!
Now, it’s time to wrap your gift. Cut a piece of cellophane large enough to cover the mug and bring the ends up at the corners. Scrunch the cellophane around the mug and secure it with a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Don’t forget to trim the excess cellophane for a neat finish.
Now, for the fun part – making the bow! Grab your Bowdabra and another piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Fold it in half and lay it down into the Bowdabra. Then, grab your scrunchy ribbon and start making your bow. Add some twinkle ribbon for an extra touch of sparkle. Once you are happy with your bow, tie a knot and pull it tight.
Take your beautiful bow and tie it onto your gift mug. This adds a festive touch to your gift and really brings it all together. If you want, you can also optionally tie a bow at the back.
Finally, shape your scrunchy ribbon and adjust your bow until you are happy with how it looks. And there you have it – a unique Father’s Day gift that your dad is sure to love!
