Sandy Sandler, the creator of the Bowdabra is here to show you the easy way to create a beautiful summer lantern swag that requires no special skill! Follow along with this easy video DIY and create this gorgeous home décor lantern.
First, cut a longer piece of Bowdabra bow wire so that you can use the excess to tie it to your lantern when finished. Then fold it in half and lay it in the Bowdabra. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, fold a bush in half and place it in the Bowdabra so that the flowers are on both sides evenly. Then, lay in some eucalyptus leaves followed by more florals ending with the lilies.
Now, lay in a strip of vintage garden ribbon. Now, begin making loops and twisting a longer piece of the vintage garden ribbon. Make sure the loops are facing right side up.
Finish with a button loop.
Now, scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security.
Shape and arrange the ribbons and florals. Use the excess bow wire to tie the bow on the lantern. You have a beautiful home décor summer lantern bow to display with anywhere during spring and summer!
