How to Make an Adorable Jaunty Turkey Thanksgiving Greeting Card

What better way to show friends that you are thankful for them than sending this Jaunty Turkey Thanksgiving Greeting Card. Young artists will love making and sharing this card with their friends.

These are the supplies that you’ll need:

• Autumn colored artificial leaves (about five)
• Scrap of yellow felt
• Feathers
• Scrap of brown cardstock
• Two googly eyes
• 1½” length of red chenille stem
• 7″ x 5″ blank notecard
• Liquid craft glue, double-sided tape , or glue dots
• Turkey Body and Beak Templates

Let’s make the turkey Thanksgiving greeting card:

1. Print the templates for the turkey body and beak. Trace the body onto the brown cardstock and the beak onto yellow felt. Cut out  the shapes.
2. If necessary, remove the stems from the leaves. Arrange the leaves on the front of the card to make the turkey’s tail.
3. Before gluing the leaves in place, check the placement by laying the turkey body on top of them. When you’re satisfied with the arrangement, set the turkey body aside and glue the leaves in place.
4. Glue the feathers to the back top of the turkey head.
5. Glue the turkey body on top of the leaf tail.
6. Make the turkey’s wattle by forming a tiny coil on one end of the chenille stem. Glue the wattle to the back side of the beak.
7. Glue the googly eyes and beak/wattle to the turkey head.
8. Add your greeting to the inside of the greeting card.
9. Share your jaunty turkey Thanksgiving card with your friends.
