Instructions:

First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire.  Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra.  You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side.  This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow

Next, take a piece of Chicago ribbon with the ends pre-dovetailed. Pinch the center to form a little mountain-up fold and place it in the Bowdabra. To dovetail, fold the ribbon in half and cut at an angle away from the fold. Repeat this step with the second piece of Chicago ribbon. Repeat this step with three pieces of white satin ribbon. Shape the bow as you add the ribbons.

Continue adding ribbon strips

Next, add a few pieces of twinkle ribbon strips, and several pieces of swirl ribbon.  The strips are approx. 10 inches, but you can vary the sizes as desired.

Finish with some Chicago ribbon strips and lay in a flower. Add the flower and end with a couple of strips of Mars ribbon to cover the flower stem.

Now, scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand.  Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot.  Tie a double knot for extra security.

Shape out the bow by pulling the ribbon in opposite directions.

Wrap your gift, add some Chicago ribbon all around, and secure it with tape or glue.  Now, use the excess bow wire to thread through the holes in the Chicago ribbon and tie a knot to secure the bow to the gift.

See how easy and fun it was to make this beautiful gift box bow. The gift will be sure to wow everyone and the best part is that you made it with scrap ribbon!
